Dear
Music Directors, Teachers, and Principals,
Faith Lutheran School
is honored to be the host school of the upcoming
Twenty-Ninth
Annual Lutheran Schools Music
Festival and
would like to invite your music groups to participate.
The Festival has become a wonderful opportunity for
students in our schools to listen to other school
groups, enjoy performing for others and to be evaluated
by competent Christian musicians.
Many schools make the Festival a special field
trip holiday for their musicians and enjoy other
attractions while in the hosting school’s area.
The Festival is for all age groups in Lutheran
Schools throughout the Florida-Georgia
District. As
in the past, the Festival will be for choir, band
(instrumental), and bell groups.
You may send one choir, band, and bell group.
If you want to send more than one group in each
of the three categories, please send in your request and
we will try to honor your request if there is room in
the schedule.
We understand that each school may have a
different variety of groups to choose from.
As was mentioned at the
Educators Conference in September, the Music Festival
will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 on our
church and school campus. Faith is located approximately
fifteen miles northeast of
Orlando.

A final registration form is due by January 29, 2010.
Please complete the information
as requested, found in this packet or on the District
Website. The cost for each performing group is as
follows:
1-30 students . . .
$45.00
More than 30 students . . .
$55.00
This registration will cover the expenses of the
Festival which include honorariums for judges,
certificates and medallions, and mailings.
Please remit your registration form to Faith by
January 29th
in the
enclosed stamped envelope, fax it to us (770-971-7796)
or complete online and email to
jack.hibbs@faithlcms.org. This will help us
develop the practice (warm up) and performance schedule.
You may remit your check anytime up to the day of the
Festival. If
for any reason your group cannot attend, your
registration fee will be returned in full.
Due to our church and school calendar of activities
during the week of the Festival, we will not be able to
provide housing on our campus. If hotel accommodations
are needed, please make arrangements directly with a
hotel. A
list of local area hotels is provided in this packet and
on the district website.
More information is included in this packet and on the
district website pertaining to the basic guidelines of
the day. Our
music staff hopes that you will find this helpful in
your preparations.

If you have never attended the Festival you may
wish to consider bringing up a group just to observe and
